Privacy Policy for KC Dome App

Welcome to APTools ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how our mobile application ("App") collects, uses, shares, and protects your information. It also explains the choices you have. By using the App, you agree to this Policy.

1) Scope

This Policy covers personal and device data processed by the APTools mobile App and related services (e.g., order tracking, RFQs, maintenance requests, notifications). It does not cover third-party websites or services linked from the App.

2) Data we collect

2.1 Location data

• Precise & approximate location (GPS, Wi-Fi, and network signals) while you use the App.
• Background location when enabled, to support features that must work even if the App is closed (see Background location disclosure).

2.2 Account & contact information

• Name, company, email, phone number, customer ID, delivery addresses.

2.3 Usage, device & diagnostics

• App interactions, feature usage, crash logs, performance data, device model, OS version, and unique device identifiers.

2.4 Files, camera & media (optional)

• Photos, documents, and attachments you upload (e.g., RFQs, POs, delivery notes).
• Camera access for scanning barcodes/serial numbers or capturing images for maintenance requests.

2.5 Payment & transaction data

• Order details and payment status. Payment card data is handled by our payment partners (e.g., bank transfer, credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Tabby). We do not store full card numbers.

3) How & why we use data

• Provide core features (account login, product browsing, RFQs, quotations, orders, delivery, warranty/maintenance).
• Location-based services (e.g., showing nearest service coverage, validating delivery/pickup locations, fraud prevention).
• Communications (order updates, invoices, service notices, and, only with your consent, marketing).
• Analytics and improvements (diagnostics, performance, usability).
• Compliance, security, and dispute resolution.

Where applicable, we rely on your consent, our legitimate interests in providing and improving the App, and/or contractual necessity to process data.

4) Background location disclosure

The App may request ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION. We use background location only to support specific features that require location to function even when you're not actively using the App, such as:

• Validating delivery or service areas during active orders or scheduled maintenance windows.
• Enhancing fraud prevention and account security signals.

You can disable background location at any time in your device settings. If disabled, features relying on it may be limited but the App remains usable.

5) Sharing & third parties

• Service providers: Hosting, analytics, crash reporting, maps/geolocation services, notification delivery, and payment processing.
• Business operations: Logistics partners for delivery and after-sales services.
• Legal & safety: To comply with law, enforce terms, or protect users' safety, rights, and property.

We do not sell your personal data. When we share data with providers, they must use it only on our instructions and protect it appropriately.

6) App permissions (Android examples)

• ACCESS_FINE_LOCATION / ACCESS_COARSE_LOCATION - location features as described above.
• ACCESS_BACKGROUND_LOCATION - optional background features (see Section 4).
• CAMERA - scan serials/barcodes or capture images you choose to upload.
• READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE (or scoped storage equivalents) - attach files/photos you select.
• POST_NOTIFICATIONS - order updates and service alerts (you can opt out in system settings).
• INTERNET / ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE - connect to our services.

7) Data retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, to meet legal/financial obligations (e.g., tax/audit), and to resolve disputes. When no longer needed, we securely delete or anonymize the data.

8) Security

We implement technical and organizational measures (encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring) to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

9) Your choices & controls

• Permissions: You can grant/withdraw location, camera, and notification permissions in your device settings.
• Marketing: You can opt out of marketing communications from links in our messages.
• Account: You can update certain profile details in the App.

10) Your privacy rights

Depending on your location, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of your data. You may also object to or restrict certain processing.

How to submit a request: Email privacy@aptools.sa with your request and the email/phone associated with your account. We will verify your identity before acting on requests.

11) Children's privacy

Our App is not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided data, contact us to delete it.

12) International data transfers

Your data may be processed in countries different from your own. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards to protect your data in line with applicable laws (e.g., Saudi PDPL and other local regulations).

13) Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you in the App or by other appropriate means. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the latest version.
